Absolutely! You definitely keep using your POS to take orders, and you can even run cards the old way if you want, even after you have Safe Distance Pay in place. Your existing processor can service people who don't have a smartphone or don't prefer to use their smartphone to pay.

Safe Distance Pay is used in addition to your existing equipment and credit card merchant processor. Safe Distance Pay uses mobile processing on your customers' phones, which is similar to a customer having ordered via a delivery service or online ordering (but without the high fees).

If you use any 3rd party delivery services, such as DoorDash, GrubHub or UberEats, those orders are paid online using an external mobile processor.  Safe Distance Pay is similar to 3rd party delivery-- just close out the orders to the additional tender type you have set up.
